One life- A Perspective.

Hello Readers

Hope you all are doing fine.

God is in all men, but all men are not in God; that is why we suffer;
If you must be mad, be it not for the things of the world. Be mad with the love of God.

-Swami Vivekananda

Hmm... Again here comes the weekend and I am ready to talk to you on yet another focus.

Want to start with little bit of my blogging journey, I have written 175 blogs and this is my 176th blog, when I think about the feedbacks I have received for all those topics I have written there has been positive and negative ones which is very healthy and generally people have said I get stuck in a redundant cycles sometimes where I have ended up repeating what I have written.  I would like to thank each one of you for considering reading what I write and the motivation and will surely work towards improving my blogs.

One life is what we all have, and what we achieve in this one life is the point I want to touch upon.

I got this idea actually after reading a 70+ page speech of Sri Swami Vivekananda called “The master” the only book where the Swami speaks about his guru Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

I learnt lot of truths after reading this book; I would like to share some of it.

The book speaks about the golden truths of life like how should a teacher behave? And first of all who is a teacher? What is the actual meaning of religion?

You know these are all basic questions for which we have got many answers which we now consider standard and noble but this article gave me a new perspective of thinking about:

The rich traditions and culture of India, the comparison of the Indian society and the occidental society, how the Indians thought of this world which was way more matured than a Western men’s business minded thinking.

There is a particular chapter about women in this context it is all about Sri Sarada Devi the guru Matha of the Swami and the consort of Sri Ramakrishna whom he considered as a mother all through his life, and which was gladly accepted by the great Sannyasin, it says “ even in the midst of the ignorance in which the average Hindu woman lives, the midst of what you call the western countries lack of freedom ,there would arise a woman of this supreme spirituality, who stood by Ramakrishna till he left his body as his mother.

Well I would urge everyone to read this book “My master” to experience how life can be.

Some takeaways I learned after reading: The level of thinking of each and every individual in India should try to think in similar lines beyond religion, beyond temples churches and mosques and first understand the true meaning of religion.

Understand what it is to be a teacher is and what can a teacher give his disciple if he thinks only in the upliftment of his student in a totally selfless attitude.

A total non-materialistic view of this society which will just astonish us and which proves is the core strength in the unity which defines India.

We need to remember the people who lived and who have created a bright path for us to lead our future generations, I am very sure I will carry the torch and show this path to as much as people I can,  and spread this message to me next generation.

Why don’t we all join and make this mission a great success?

So this life, this one rare life what has been gifted us by this universe put it to best of use and become an example for the generations to come.

Good day.

The Whistleblower

Hello readers

Hope you all fine today.

“There is no alternative to this administrative system... The Union will go; you will not have a united India if you do not have good All-India Service which has the independence to speak out its mind, which has sense of security that you will stand by your work... If you do not adopt this course, then do not follow the present Constitution. Substitute something else... these people are the instrument. Remove them and I see nothing, but a picture of chaos all-round the country.”
-Sri Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, First Home Minister of India

There are many professions a person can choose and will choose for a living and in every country there are certain professions which are very respectable and the people in that profession are also very responsible and should be very much competent to pursue their careers in that particular profession.

There are certain criteria a person considers when he wants to choose his career, the popular “jargons” used are words like work life balance, job satisfaction, work culture, job enhancement phew... the list almost endless.

But there are other kind of people who pursue more to the benefit of society and this whole world rather than for mere monetary gain and other perquisites, the immediate words which come to your mind are doctors, lawyers, our soldiers, the police force, nurses, hawkers and cleaners the garbage lifters I am sorry the list is so long that I am going to stop at that as you know where I am coming from.

We all know there are certain positions in the various Governments of the world which are considered very powerful, in our country where we are following the British mercantile law to this day, the brilliant organizational set up which made it possible to almost conquer the whole world in the name of a company.

The civil services which was a part of the British imperial services to the queen (1893–1946).  With the passing of the Government of India Act 1919, the Imperial Services headed by the Secretary of State for India, were split into two – All India Services and Central Services and the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), The Indian police Service (IPS), The Indian Forest Service (IFS), The Indian Revenue Service (IRS) and the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) was born.

The aspirants have a tough journey to be a part any of the above cadres the recruitment process is the most tough and testing.

Officers are recruited from Civil Services Examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. They are also promoted from State Civil Services and selected from non-state civil service. Unlike candidates selected for other civil services, a person once appointed to the Indian Administrative Service or Indian Foreign Service (IFS) becomes ineligible to reappear in Civil Services Examination, because, prior to 1979 a person to be eligible for IAS/IFS had to appear for additional papers but even after the UPSC civil services exam was made common, the status quo was maintained.

After getting selected, candidates undergo training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, (Uttarakhand) LBSNAA, Mussoorie for IAS.

The Indian Police Service

It was again introduced by the British Government in  1861 under the Indian Councils Act and was called superior Police services meant for moral policing and controlling the revolutionary movement in the Indian freedom struggle.

Prior to Independence, senior police officers belonging to the Imperial Police (IP) were appointed by the Secretary of State on the basis of a competitive examination. The first open civil service examination for admission to the service was held in England in June 1893 and the ten top candidates were appointed as probationers in the Indian (Imperial) Police. It is not possible to pinpoint an exact date on which the Indian Police came formally into being. Around 1907, the Secretary of State's officers were directed to wear the letters "IP" on their epaulettes in order to distinguish them from the other officers not recruited by the Secretary of State through examination. In this sense, 1907 could be regarded as the starting point.

1948, a year after India gained independence; the Imperial Police was replaced by IPS. The main objectives of this service is to fulfil duties based on border responsibilities, in the areas of maintenance of public peace and order, crime prevention, investigation, and detection, collection of intelligence, VIP security, counter-terrorism, border policing, railway policing, tackling smuggling, drug trafficking, economic offences, corruption in public life, disaster management, enforcement of socio-economic legislation, biodiversity and protection of environmental laws etc.

Leading and commanding the Indian Intelligence Agencies like Research and Analysis Wing (R&AW), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Criminal Investigation Department (CID) etc., Indian Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, Civil and Armed Police Forces in all the states and union territories.

Every citizen in India is always amazed by an officer be it an IAS or the IPS seeing their strength and velour.

Alas, as Shakespeare quoted there are more inside enemies in the hamlet than there are outside.

There is a huge conspiracy going in the recent times where senior and strict officers are being transferred or even being murdered through proxies and made to look like suicides or homicides unreasonably for the only reason that they are honest few names worthy to be mentioned as here Sri DK Ravi, recently Sri Anurag Tiwari, why are the investigative agencies not stringent about the culprits behind their tragedies and not brought into court?

The latest and the most shameful incident of IPS officer  DIG Roopa D Moudgil who was the whistleblower for the way things were going on in the Bangalore central jail being transferred  to traffic department  without any proper justifications and Honorable chief minister Siddaramaiah just snubbing the issue on camera!

Come on how low can the political class get to? Have they lost their complete character forget as a politician I don’t have any doubts about it, what about as a person?

Have they lost their total bearings of thinking and only think about vote bank politics and how to make loads of dirty money for their future generations?

And recently I have observed the only way of enforcement happening in most critical issues in India let it be a an IIT grace marks issue, beef, and so on is through the honorable supreme court why not the lower courts be empowered? why are we the citizens of the country so callous about how things are going around us. Don’t we care for this country? I am sure many of you have been thinking in similar lines but have not expressed or not care to.

We have to come out of this junk atmosphere of useless circulation of memes and useless social networking and start sharing something useful which should be proactive and activate the think centers in us, come back to the India of wisdom where all Indians were so brilliant they the occidental society craved for our brains, remember even today the great organizations are running because of Indians and the father of the Pentium chip which made a difference in the computing industry  is an Indian Mr. Vinod Dham who is called the unsung hero of the silicon valley.

Why are we  not true to ourselves in our own country? Is  not a simple case of enforcement: The court has convicted a woman named Ms. Sasikala  and sentenced her to serve her term of punishment why in first place the political class should involve in the functioning of a prison!

Is it not laughable, I think it is unimaginable that we all are living in magical worlds and unconcerned and we don’t think about the law and order situation in India.

I urge the youth who read this blog to start thinking about such issues and tailor a solution and present it in forums so that we can persuade the Government to implement our suggestions, remember just by casting votes your duty is not over, you need to cast vote to person whom you think should have the true qualities of a leader, we need huge phenomenal change tremors that should give out a clear message to these politicians who think we are all callus.

Please leave your feedback in the comment box and give me valuable suggestions and topics on which I can think about and write.

I really appreciate your time and patience, have a great week.

Sanguineness

Hello Readers

Hope you all are doing well.

The tragedy in life doesn’t lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach.
 - Benjamin Mays

Recently I observed something new, this is for all my dear readers who like animals, what I observed is that animals are way more smarter than us and they have good gauging power and choose whom to go and ask help, here I mean like a treat or shelter .

I am amazed by this whole system of nature and admire each and every animal which lives each day with its own skills, remember we are a  by product of many species which have survived in hard times.

Focusing on my topic for today I would like to discuss about hope.

I know I have quoted dialogue of this  great movie called “ Shawshank Redemption” many times which is also my all-time favorite , there is a conversation about hope in the movie, which is actually brilliant.

The instance his simple, Brooks a prisoner who had served 50 years of a life sentence was finally released, even though he tries to make it on the outside he will eventually end up committing suicide , this popular phenomenon in the 50s in the prisons of UK and US was called a prison sickness or “Institutionalization” which is  been protriated.

Another scene in the movie shows how Andy the hero of the movie has an argument with his buddy Red when he contents Andy  about  the word “hope” where he says it is a dangerous thing and it make a man go crazy . But the movie ends in a happy note or an anti climax  where Red accepts that hope is indeed a wonderful thing.

There is so much truth in what was shown in that in that movie, do you know we are here today living this life with a hope in mind? and even though we might not buy the idea of hope, it is hope which we makes us do what all we do .

Healing : do you know this is a natural process but if you again look into it heals a wound bringing you a hope.

A mother raises her kids in the hope of giving them a better life than her own,  a person who paints hopes to become a Picasso one day.

For animals carrying on the generation is the only hope to see its progeny in the ecosystem.

Yes I feel hopefulness is a very important way of looking at life, the moment that hopefulness is lost in you I think that is when we may lose the purpose of our living.

The waves of hope on  a drifted sea should raise along with the currents and travel to the beach which should be your mind which should be an energy of refreshment.

Do you know even sleep is considered as a hope given to you by nature so that you can think afresh the next day, and rise up with new hope.

Always live in hope and believe in positive sub-consiousness .

Thanks for your time. Have a great weekend ahead.

Contrition - A Disease!

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well.

Repentance is not when you cry, it is when you change.
-Anonymous

We start leading our lives according to the environment we are born, there is so much truth in that statement; but still can you make live life out of that environment? and live like you wanted to?

My intention is not to confuse when I typed those two lines, but the last part of the paragraph is actually a challenge, it is difficult to change the way we are leading our life.

We are emotional and social beings; we show all types of emotions depending on the situations we face.

One such feeling is repentance; we do mistakes deliberately sometimes even though we may know the end result. Why do such mishaps after all we are called the most intellectual lot in the whole world. Let us discuss.

When was the last time you sat in contrition and got visions in your mind that: supposed you had worked in plan B you would not have ended up in your current state.

Before that entire discussion, first think about this, is remorse good for you? Does it improve your life, there are actually two sides of the debate one part of the it is that up to some extent remorse is good; to complete the second part I would say it is not good always.

I will try to explain both the parts now, first part regretful after making a gaffe is good because it shows that you still have good character left inside you that still is policing you to move in the correct course, that is the good part, however the part which is not so motivating is forgetting this wound very soon and ending up back in a mentally injured mode (remorse) in a short while.

That my friend is the part where we all need to improve, I am sure when your senior at office was training you during your probation something, or your teacher was teaching you some topic in school they would have told you make mistakes now, but when you are on the job or when you write exams be careful and make sure you don’t repeat these mistakes.

But in life there are times you do not get that probation period or a practice class, you may have to rush into an exam hall unprepared! Or work with huge responsibilities without support staff, well that is life! there is no margin for errors; this is law of the nature.

So we need to take decisions very carefully, because you might not get another chance.
What is the point of you being upset on yourself and making the surrounding milieu also look sadistic for the mistakes you did.

You have got this one life, we need to keep our energy bubbling, pump our lungs with the pure air of confidence move on from the mistakes we did and not to repeat them  and most important put it behind us and learn valuable lessons from such undesirable experiences.

So from today repent once and never repeat the same mistake again! Because there is much to do  the switches of happiness, opportunities and so on waiting for you to switch them on and  there are so many unexplored  places for you to go on a an adventure.

So the question: Can you live life out of your environment? and live like you wanted to? Well it is very much possible is what I feel. The success and failure both depend on how you deal with your life. I Wish you success.

Thanks a lot for your time, have a great week ahead.
