life wants to live!

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well

You have to fight some bad days to earn the best days of your life.

-Anonymous

The situation is getting precarious, COVID 19 has become a tough nut to crack, but still, the hope remains, and we will win, and it should lose.

We all have a work cycle after this work cycle; we have a life cycle then we have something in between without these two cycles that is our lives.

Off late, I’m reading some grim articles about mental health.

How many of us think that the awareness of mental health is enough if not high is adequate in the world?

The fact is that awareness is not so great.

Why do I say that awareness is not so prevalent? I am very apprehensive about this fact because every other day I see that there are people in this world who think ending their life is an easy option than living and facing it. Of course, the basic premise of negative affinity in the world is prevalent.

Ending a life, do we even know what this means? So damn annoying it is to me and should to all ! you are killing a soul you are executing a brain, and finally, a wonderful opportunity which wanted to live.

Talking about the opportunity, should we all not think this life is an opportunity for all of us.

There are happiness and sadness which comes as a package to all of us. When will we understand that this is  just a passing phase to us and react in a manner which is not so oblivious?

Emotions, these are very natural reactions, it is there in animals, just that we don’t understand their feelings unless we have a big heart.

Heart, is this is just an organ which pumps blood throughout your body, or is there any other significance?

Biologically yes, it is the root of we being alive and conscious. Still, at the same time, we know for a fact when there is fear our heart races, if you laugh the heart slows down if you cry, your heart becomes mellow, same with your mind.

Why do I say, mellow? Yes the stress you have it in you finally gets released when you cry, and you feel pleasant of the clouds of sorrow in your mind melts, yes so crying is a better solution than the extreme step.

I don’t want to mention any names. Still, recently in India, we saw some disturbing suicides in the film industry, which was painful to the fans who enjoyed their movies.

I am circling back to the mental health and state of mind.

Well, I would say the statistics are sombre as I told you, people judge others as happy based on their talking, their smile and their lifestyle which is absolutely a wrong way to look at it.

How would you see it, suppose you were that celebrity who is in the limelight. You have achieved what you wanted, and the next morning you see an asphyxiated body of this man or women on the headlines!

I mean do we even know what these guys go through to keep that stardom in the nepotistic industry like a film industry which is a people industry.

Now other than celebrities, even people who are leading healthy lives earning their bread, sometimes due to pressure in family, professions or a scuffle in their personal lives think of ending it all.

Ending it all!

Does this also even have a meaning, I remember when I was in high school, my biology teacher told us this, “Life wants to live” as kids we couldn’t understand this at the first shot, so we requested her to explain.

She answered the following “There are folks in this world who don’t want to live, but when they are about to end it, the life struggles to live and help that soul to live and finally succumbs to physical or chemical reasons, block your nostrils, you will understand what I mean!”. Hence, life wants to live even though you don’t want to.

Well, I would say the answer she gave us is both philosophical and also biological.

Life tries to live, life wants to live, any animal, people eat as food doesn’t want to die. Still, they can’t help it, and that pain remains in the body after its death because it was a forced death that we gave the life which wanted to live!

We need to live life before we even think of running away from it.

This phase of the world in hibernation, inside four walls of your house, is pretty stressful and supporting your work and life can get tight. Still, definitely, we can, and we should sail through this storm.

I think no problem in this world in unsolvable we need to find a direction, there was a moon mission in which astronauts figured they would not return but managed to return to earth, it just took them their fortitude and genius to survival, which is the spirit to live.

Share your problems with your people who can help you come out of it, let go your ego and reserved attitude.

There is this point or limit that your brain can take a level of stress; sometimes, it will have a meltdown, that is the time people tend to make such decisions. One life live it!

Thanks for your time, I think this bit was lengthy, please don’t mind it, but I think it needs to be heard and addressed at macro levels in our country and the entire globe.

I Will try to keep up my promise of weekly publishing as requested by many readers.

Thank you guys for your motivating feedback as always, a special mention to Kate McCarthy from the Netherlands who has been following my writing since 2015 and has shared my blog page with her students, Kate this means a lot to me and has made my job more challenging! Thanks for your brilliant motivation you give me along with your comments.

Have a great Sunday.

Job Wanderers

Hello Readers

 Hope you are doing well

The work cycle is inevitable to all of us, whether you work in an apparel industry or a finance firm which is funding it, either you sell clothes or tally books! Finally it’s a job.

The word founder has been motivating for me because without a founder, there is no innovation or employment.

You can work because someone thought that employment could be generated from a particular way to get money in exchange for the services they offer, and you are now a part of it because you possess that talent to work for them.

-Alan watts-Lectures on life and purpose.

Well, that is the standard work cycle we are all aware of, because we were privileged and motivated by our parents or guardians and we chose the path of  knowledge through your curriculum, your schooling and whatnot.

But have you released there is a support system which exists in whatever you have achieved till now?

Blogger suggested reading:http://harishmurthy.blogspot.com/2019/09/we-can-think-because.html

This support system starts from your family, continues with the society, and I think it keeps going and you will have that lamp post to rest when you require it.

This hibernation phase of my life from three months due to a pandemic helped me think about certain classes of society who are really our support systems.

 Itinerant workers

We are all so excited about the infrastructure which is existent in our cities do we realise the amount of manpower which is involved in bringing these mega-structures into working wonders.

Setting my premise to India here, did some basic research about how the sourcing is done for such hard physical labour, the Government has implemented the system of contracting and sub-contracting. There you see the migrant workers role, and the jobs they do is really mind-boggling, I found a report on the internet for the people who worked on the already completed phase of our “namma metro” in Bangalore.

Only 12% were from Karnataka, and the rest were all migrants.

Well, should  we brand the labour class in our home town and in our state as incompetent for the job.

Or should I say the migrants work cheap, well I don’t want to be a judge on that for a simple reason that I can’t judge demography by reading a report?

But I can tell you due to acute unemployment issues in the regions where the workers live they allow head hunters to choose them to whichever part of the country to whatever type of job is available to feed their family.

They are brave men and women, they did not have the comfort of home quarantine like you and me because they are the revenue-generating turbines of their houses, if they stop there is no electricity.

COVID happened, and India was asked to stand still, and so were these workers. Initially, they were patient and tried to survive with their savings.

The Pandora of problems opened up when they wanted to go back to their family and asked their salaries from their contractors who themselves were bankrupt.

The Government too intervened in this problem, it was first of kind experience to them also, but I strongly feel they could have managed the issue in a better way.

The migrants thronged streets in Mumbai, Delhi the news clips were terrifying to watch.

No doubt we have handled the situation better than many advanced economies, but in the case of migrant workers, I feel definitely we could have done better.

There is also a surprise element, some of the analysts in the media houses, back –seat analysts at home voiced opinions: “why are the workers feeling so restless, they are creating ruckus which may be   motivated by the opposition and so on.”

I don’t know the authenticity of the last part but, leaving all the politics behind, just think you if were one among them just  realise how stuck  you  would be with your family in a far-away place who are waiting for their share to run your home.

Metro constructions, all real estate constructions, road works, plumbing, painting, heavy stone lifting, delivery services and also dreadful jobs like manual  scavenging. I mean this list is endless and this what they do for us and are a prominent part of our support system.

I respect each of those workers and urge the people in power to help these people who work for a living,  they do not segregate or are not picky about where they want to work and whom they want to work for.

Let all of us as citizens be supportive and emphatic to them  and do our bit whenever we get an opportunity.

Self–reliance is beautiful but often is an illusion.

Thanks a lot for your time. Have a great Sunday and the rest of the week.
