Essence Of Success

 Hello Readers

Hope you all are doing well.

You create the life you wish by your thoughts, speech and actions.

Lailah Gifty Akita

I have this hate and love feeling on winters, I love it for the blue skies and the clear night skies to gaze at the horizon and the sunlight which doesn’t scorch.

But kind of do not like it for the headaches and winter wear, of course, my immunity is to blame, and I am in the Indian sub-continent, I don’t even know what actual winter is!

I had been to Kashmir some years back, and it was snowing, I touched fresh snow for the first time that feeling was very pristine.

In cold countries, winter is a time of family reunion and spending time of their daily routine, they call it “wintertime out.”

The word time-out is excellent because it helps you come out of whatever web of thoughts you have entangled with.

It helps you start over your thinking process, just on a lighter note we need to factory reset our mind occasionally, as there are too many thoughts which are to be wiped.

The talk of the town these days is building skills, learning programming languages, starting a YouTube channel, monetize them and make money: courtesy from the tycoon machine called “Google.”

I cannot even get closer to their business strategies and models, they have opened new horizons to portrait talents across the world, it is simply great no second thought on that.

Skills are what we inculcate throughout our lives either by learning it by personal interest, for passion, or maybe you develop it on your job.

There are so many online courses available on the internet about soft skills: communication, stress management, teamwork are few examples.

Communication would be top of the list I would say when it comes to soft skills.

If we think about it, this whole world and whatever we do ends up at one focal point, that is communication.

Whatever you do in life whether at the personal front or at professional level your presence will be  felt on how you spoke, what you spoke or wrote  on paper and lastly your behaviour.

Oculesics- the study of body language is a specialized branch in behavioral science.

Why should there be so many courses, workshops, studies, and theories to understand and teach communication.

Communication is the most essential part to live in this world.

Many of us don’t understand this, there are times when we had to be kind to the person whom you are conversing with, but you were shrewd, and it broke both of you apart.

We cannot expect to be a hundred from day one but are we open to learn, evolve or even atleast think about accepting feedback from people who actually give you those feedbacks with the right intention, and that is to change you for good.

When we end up in problems, I feel half of the situation would resolve if we first understand the issue and also if we can explain the matter to the people who will help you decide it.

Rest of the problems would resolve if you try to understand people, and comprehend their situations when that happens you build a network, or network of like-minded people just like you, who knows a dream team someday. Still, it starts with you how you talk to them.

Honestly, that’s all it matters.

I remember during my course study, my professor made us do this exercise. it is called “Chinese whisper”: initially a short story was readout.

Few people were asked to go out of the class and a story was narrated, now the students who were sent out earlier were called in and the class was asked to repeat the story to each one of the person who came in one by one finally there was comparison between the initial version and what the class told.

Conclusion the basic story which was described was lost, what was left is bits and pieces of the story with entirely new meaning, this is called vocal adulteration or gaps in communication.

It was an eye-opener for me.

We all should definitely heed in the direction of improving ourselves each day as we progress through life and one of the critical areas we need to look at is how do we talk to people and most important of all, to get feedback from them.

You can be called a success, not with your truckloads of knowledge and the highest degrees which you earned, but  when you enter a room full of people and they were all  waiting for you with a smile, that day you can be called a success.

 - Alistair Maclean.

Hope this blog has opened your mind to think in the direction, which should help you to achieve success in whatever you want to do!

 Thanks for your time.

Sun, The Rainbow and Rain.

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well

Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better.

-Albert Einstein

Hope is a beautiful thing, I think it is the best of things, it blossoms new possibilities each day.

"Our life and times" are often used in conversations with people of all ages, what it means is how were things at their times and their experiences.

A large-hearted read today, no technical stuff or conceptual stuff.

Sun, the Rainbow and rain, this blog is in the making from quite some time, well to be precise I would say some years now.

I have been contemplating situations, experiences, beliefs, and disbelief within me as far as I have seen in my life, finally I think this is apt time to publish.

Service -mindedness is a boon I would say, and only the service-minded people, understand the joy of it.

We all go through situations in life, what do we learn from those situations is what matters.

Suppose you went on for a rough patch in your life say for a couple of years that is the time you can differentiate between your friends and foe.

There will be people who will help you and some people whom you thought were your buddies.

That was lesson number one, next comes your maturity and loneliness teaches you a lot I would say.

The former is what you arrive at after the phase is over, the latter is actually a state of mind, do you know that we feel lonely not because you do not have people to communicate, maybe your intellect wants its free space to heal itself, it chooses loneliness!

The sun is an awe-inspiring heavenly body I would say, I fold my hands to bow to the sun daily, for its radiance, for its glory, for its grace.

The Rainbow signifies joy, it splits the sunlight and shows the dance of nature to all of us.

I annotate rain to hope and prosperity!

Now just think for a second, these three phenomena, the sun the Rainbow and rain, they have always been in our lives.

These natural phenomena just happen, at some point of each year, and they add meaning to our life.

I know they are non-living and happen due to laws of physics, but they add so much value to the living.

But I want to fathom them, as three people who are always there to fill us with joy, hope, and well-being.

For a moment, can we all not be them?

Why can't we become the sun to a person who is engulfed in darkness? A rainbow to a blind person and bring a rain of happiness to the dejected.

To be honest, I have was not an empathic person back in time, but when I understood that it is essential to be empathetic I started being one.

I feel so fresh and my purpose of life uplifts each time I help a soul.

All the world's possibilities in man are waiting as the tree remains for its seed, said Sri Aurobindo a great saint and freedom fighter.

Let us all try to be in a giving mode, as it is divine, let not the illusion of ego and arrogance hold you back.

If you feel a person in need of your help, give it all you have got, why wait for the person to ask your advice or seek help .

Seriously I see it has brought smiles on people faces, and they are so thankful for that.

You become wiser, blessed and  in their prayers, I think that is the best you can get in life.

 Nothing much nears to that.

Well, these 698 words has a small story: started writing this  in 2017, was in my drafts for three years! The reason maybe I thought it is too touchy!

But I feel this needs to be told, I had mentioned in one of my blogs this year that, help is a religion.

It is true it is, indeed, a religion without any deity, leader, or a book, it is just actions which benefit another person who is need of it!

I thank Keith McCarthy from New- Zealand, whom I had discussed this literature with, for her motivation to write this one, Keith I owe you one!

Thanks a lot for your time.

 Enjoy your week.

Rejuvenate

Hello Readers

Hope you all are doing fine.

Freedom is not given. It’s taken.
-Sri Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose

Somewhere in the lush mangroves of India lived a small family surviving on farming and entertaining the tourists with their folk talents.

Years passed, and the storms of problems eclipsed this family started with the sad demise of the father, followed by a dreaded ailment which stood on the shoulders of the elder son, which stopped all the activities of the house which brought them what little money which kept them moving.

The son eventually went blind because of his sickness as it affected the brain.

He tried extending his arms to all his relatives for help and received as much as possible from them, but this was not sufficient to treat his diseases and to take care of his family.

Then he tried to contact his childhood friends and school mates who started to help him without expecting returns.

Years passed by, and fast-forwarding time to today, the elder son passed away in a terminal condition and was ever grateful to his friends who helped him even though there was no hope and also partially funded his sister’s education.

Well, there ends a small passage which is a true story; this is how a group of friends helped their dear friend and his family try to climb up the ladder of normalcy.

Now other people ask the people who helped the departed soul. What did you get by helping without any return or fruit for your efforts which includes not only monetary support but also emotional support?

The answer should be : Help is a religion by itself and what it preaches is divine and only happiness to those who need it.We always try to shy away from responsibilities which are capable and can be done by us.

If we try to change that in us, I am sure we will enjoy the joy of helping, there are som many hands out there looking out for your help.

Why don’t we the “blessed” try to help the people who are in real need of help instead of indulging useless petty and materialistic struggles in life?

Food for thought ain’t it?

All the help you do will come back to you in the form of goodness gratitude and the fondness towards you by those happy souls, that is the real reward of help.

Thanks for your time, good evening.
