Who is that guy?

Hello readers
So wanted to start about this topic by asking a simple question who decides what you do?the most obvious answers you give me is your brain,mind and also there are some folks who tell me it's my soul which is believed in Hinduism very widely.
                I am sure you would have felt this way atleast once in your life which is -you think of doing something but before doing it someone already had told you what to do and you will endup doing the same irrespective you want to do it or not like it or not who is this being? who directs you makes you feel confident, sad, makes you feel good about what you did?
So science and philosophy are in a century long hypothesis for this, so for every action we make I guess even though we are physically responsible for doing it there is a being who is doing it inside you who talks to you, orders you, begs you, which is very cryptic. Now recently in a documentary I saw that scientists are narrowing in and agreeing that we do have a soul and it goes back to the universe and becomes a part of it until it finds another body so think about it your likes dislikes your very nature is not entirely yours but I cannot tell whose was it before! Thank you and keep thinking so the loop continues who is telling you to think?! Now?!
