From Chest-Thumping To Thinking!

 Hello Readers

Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones!
-An old European proverb.

Hope you all are fine and staying at home, this Jorgen is in the air now, the “COVID WORLD” it is nature’s answer to human atrocities, one of the tabloids say this!

Okay, I will not rant on these viral stories, because we have been pumped enough about it on the video and print media, the over-whelming posts on social media and so on.

Some thoughts which are lurking these days: how the dynamics of what is coming out in the media has changed, from the blame game news and all the other useless gossips to only focusing on survival stories, heroic articles and protecting the idea of India and how to stop the spread of the infection.

Well, change is the index of life and necessity is the mother of invention, these two phrases have always been back of my mind and have kept me going, oh boy! What a change this is!

The thoughts are now about, maturity, how can you lend that helping hand to this world when it is needed, this is a time when your most profound qualities are tested and make very it evident in understanding who you really are.

But there is one crucial thought which I wanted to write about today, in particular, that is being rational in situations like these.

Why is it essential to discuss it? Because some bigots are till behaving childishly and naïve during testing times.

You support a particular group a political party or a community, that is acceptable but, can you keep supporting it even when what they do or are doing is not right or affecting the balance of our society, that is when your inclination matters.

Suppose the government you elected is behaving haywire and absolutely has become self-centred and has indulged in deep corruption, absolutely not taking any efforts to improve the standard of living of people. We should condemn such governments and use all our fundamental rights other us laws to sue such administrations and protect the vulnerable and the exploited.

On the contrary, if there is a Government which is putting its sweat and blood, towards a cause for example to curtail a situation like the present one, we as a society should definitely appreciate them and be with them.

The reports of people resisting doctors the police forces and the front line workers, mistreating them are simply heart throbbing; such elements have to be punished to the maximum extent.

When you support a particular group own that support, like a teacher, appreciate and reward if your group is doing the right thing and punish them if the direction they are taking is wrong.

For heaven’s sake, stop indulging in a hero-worship and blind following, that is very dangerous to our democracy and may lead to democratic dictatorship. So for a healthy democracy, there should be a knowledgeable opposition, who can question and suggest the right routes to adopt when the government of the day has derailed that is the synergy which leads to the glory of a nation across borders and also shows political maturity.
Please do not get carried away, by the mood of your fellow affiliates who keep treating the leaders as godly figures even if they are erring, because doing that is suicidal and stupid.

Let us try to be more intelligent when it comes to supporting an idea. We have come this far because there existed a group of people in every piece of history who we were not inclined towards a particular bent of mind and looked at things rationally minus the bias and inclinations, which lead to the progress of mankind.

Some of us are mentally stressed; I agree we feel caged at our homes with no social interactions thanks to the internet and the other paraphernalia that we are almost always virtually connected.

So let us have brilliant and productive conversations rather than a sadistic cross-firing between all of you. Just trying to chest-thump against each other and treating everything as an ego-fight and forgetting about the discussion the next morning, there is no value addition by doing this!

That is so absurd, and that will make us feel empty eventually with lack of any useful knowledge as we were all busy being bigots!

Thanks a lot for your time.

Please stay home and pray for all the souls who are fighting this war for us at the cost of their own lives, I think that is the least we can do!
