Contrition - A Disease!

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well.

Repentance is not when you cry, it is when you change.
-Anonymous

We start leading our lives according to the environment we are born, there is so much truth in that statement; but still can you make live life out of that environment? and live like you wanted to?

My intention is not to confuse when I typed those two lines, but the last part of the paragraph is actually a challenge, it is difficult to change the way we are leading our life.

We are emotional and social beings; we show all types of emotions depending on the situations we face.

One such feeling is repentance; we do mistakes deliberately sometimes even though we may know the end result. Why do such mishaps after all we are called the most intellectual lot in the whole world. Let us discuss.

When was the last time you sat in contrition and got visions in your mind that: supposed you had worked in plan B you would not have ended up in your current state.

Before that entire discussion, first think about this, is remorse good for you? Does it improve your life, there are actually two sides of the debate one part of the it is that up to some extent remorse is good; to complete the second part I would say it is not good always.

I will try to explain both the parts now, first part regretful after making a gaffe is good because it shows that you still have good character left inside you that still is policing you to move in the correct course, that is the good part, however the part which is not so motivating is forgetting this wound very soon and ending up back in a mentally injured mode (remorse) in a short while.

That my friend is the part where we all need to improve, I am sure when your senior at office was training you during your probation something, or your teacher was teaching you some topic in school they would have told you make mistakes now, but when you are on the job or when you write exams be careful and make sure you don’t repeat these mistakes.

But in life there are times you do not get that probation period or a practice class, you may have to rush into an exam hall unprepared! Or work with huge responsibilities without support staff, well that is life! there is no margin for errors; this is law of the nature.

So we need to take decisions very carefully, because you might not get another chance.
What is the point of you being upset on yourself and making the surrounding milieu also look sadistic for the mistakes you did.

You have got this one life, we need to keep our energy bubbling, pump our lungs with the pure air of confidence move on from the mistakes we did and not to repeat them  and most important put it behind us and learn valuable lessons from such undesirable experiences.

So from today repent once and never repeat the same mistake again! Because there is much to do  the switches of happiness, opportunities and so on waiting for you to switch them on and  there are so many unexplored  places for you to go on a an adventure.

So the question: Can you live life out of your environment? and live like you wanted to? Well it is very much possible is what I feel. The success and failure both depend on how you deal with your life. I Wish you success.

Thanks a lot for your time, have a great week ahead.

Life logs.

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well.

I failed in some subjects in exam, but my friend passed it all. Now he is an engineer at Microsoft, and I am the owner of Microsoft
-Bill Gates.

The great minds in the world always have a different attitude towards life; the best take away from their lives that I have taken is they lead a life only for themselves and few others whom they consider very worry about. Other than that they don't worry much about others which is good because unless you are focused and stay away from too much distractions it’s hard to reach your goal.

Wanted to talk about record keeping or popularly called in the US as log maintenance.
Log keeping first came into practice since the ancient times and in modern times shipping industry of the 18th century was very famous for log keeping. The trading that used to happen on daily basis of goods and essential commodities between various places was entered in the shipping docks by log keepers which was a huge profession, in fact the great Indian genius Srinivas Ramanujan was himself a log keeper.

The Howard university released a paper few years ago highlighting how log-keeping has helped in the field of history all over the world, the primary observation is from the statistical aspect, there is a field called as quantitative research, which is headed by group of researchers called as statistical analysts, also called as regression scientists , who compare historical data and project graphs on the future .for example gathering the latest fuel consumption of a region and predicting how many more years the oil well will be alive.

There are various fields where record keeping is very much important, which is also a source of evidence even for generations to come.

At a personal level I urge all of you to start writing journals so that we can keep a log of our own lives which will help you to  improve as a person, know what mistakes we are doing  and stop repeating them, I am writing journals from the time I was a school going boy.

In one word I can say my journals are like windows in my life where you peep in and see what's happening in your present life and what happened some time ago in your own life. It is the best personality developer and a great friend.

Writing   journals looks easy but after a busy day the determination required to complete your journal before you sleep is challenging!

Let us start writing journals and accelerate the culture of log keeping.

Thanks for your time.
