Benefactor - A ray of hope!

Hello Readers

Hope this blog finds you happy and well!

Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. ... The hunger for love is much more difficult to remove than the hunger for bread.” If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.

-Mother Teresa

The recent events in the world and our lives are revealing a lot about us.

When I say revealing a lot about us, I mean, our qualities.

This is a survival situation, our brain is the most sophisticated and robust all-round analyzer available in this world, it can think about multiple things in, numerous dimensions.

We are all in a ready to-act mode; we are all very alert and acting according to the situation and the primary task for this year is survival.

We all react to situations and also perform actions based on the stimuli, a small instance of what is your first reaction if you listen to a loud thud outside your window.

Either you run towards it to find out what happened, or you close your ears and stay indoors and later find out from others.

The above example is to explain a typical behavioural pattern.

About today’s focus, it’s one of the first areas I used to write about, and I think one of the essential factors which actually drove me towards writing!

I started by etching thoughts on behavioural psychology, how I would react if I put myself in certain situations and also the need to stay away from materialism.

I wrote a blog sometime back titled what is money?:

https://harishmurthy.blogspot.com/2018/12/what-is-money.html it was about using money as an enabler to exchange goods and services and using its productively and not to become a spendthrift or a lavish spender who ponders around all their wealth.

Switching gears philanthropy is almost the noblest thing to do in a person’s life and to do that I think first we need to come out of the box.

This is the box of selfishness and materialism, we keep filling this box with wealth and more wealth and finally pass it to your progeny and your progeny  will continue to do the same, which leads to wealth duplication, I think is a endless worm hole!

Have we thought about the purpose? Why are we acquiring so much wealth which is beyond what we need? Greed, avaricious, no higher thoughts or is it the influence of the society on us.

I would say it’s just an individual perspective, its whether you want to do it or don’t want to, simple and clear.

Materialistic VS ungreedy

In the process of wealth creation, sometimes we lose direction and sight of where are we heading? And end up happy with our own sweet lives and behave hypocritically when we see a person in pain and struggle, which someone we know is undergoing, and then chant the name of the lord in the evening prayer asking him to shower you and all of whom you identify with peace and prosperity.

But do we know there is something even more godly that we can do as humans, why can’t we think of donating, detaching a little bit from our wealth?

How many of us have experienced real joy, this is a different type of happiness, only a person who shares his joy and ready to go an extra mile by helping the needy can feel.

There lived great people who were ungreedy and have set examples, shown what is to be a have a big heart, I don’t want to mention their names as I cannot cover all of them and that would be unfair, I would leave that you to find out.

In these uncertain times, let’s all try to be a little bit open-minded and help people with how much ever we can and with what we have.

Lastly, this helping you do cleanses your soul and adds that grace in you and blessings from the heavens, and the soul that received your help will glow for you always.

giving something doesn't always means money, you can spread joy, love, teach few skills to person who lacks it make a tired and sorrow soul feel comfortable.

You gain a person’s trust, which almost the rarest thing in the world to earn from someone, I think that is a unique experience by itself.

The experience is just magnanimous.

Start standing up for people, help them, it will help you! just BEGIN!

Be good to people for no reason.

Mistreatment of impeccability

Hello reader

There are two primary choices in life: to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them.
-Denis Waitley

Good day! This blog is actually one among my life experiences, and what I have learned and understood by looking around. The time which we are living today has depleted when compared to the value systems which we had some 20 years ago, even though I am not denying the fact that even at that time there were some black spots, now those spots have changed into a cluster.

There is this famous saying “when money is lost something is lost, but when character lost everything is lost” now I hear sometimes on corporate meetings or you know in satire comedy shows, “If the character is lost nothing is lost, but if money is lost everything is lost!”.

Where are we heading? is there still anything called innocence left? Has everyone become smart in an evil way and aimed at only materialism?

You know this psychology which is going on in India, well not only India even the rest of the world there is a significant increase in materialism and character paralysis which is an epidemic.

What is character paralysis? it is according to me compromising too much of his own self for the sake of society or people or jobs or so on.

But there is a new culture which has come up I would like to call it the art of making people work for you the way it would work out and finally when all that was wanted is done just trashing them like a used tissue.

How many of you have experienced this? I would say yes! If you take a crowd of 100 people I am sure at least 50% of the people would have gone through this.

You would have met this colleague or your classmate who suddenly becomes very close to you and you would also like spending time with him or her and then the list of help and requests begins and finally one day you would realize that unfortunately you were taken advantage of and feel bad about it, when already that person would be already preying on his or her  next victim.

If any of you reading this blog have come across such situations, people and were victims to this cheap act,  do not feel bad  because the person who was responsible would one day again end up with someone more smarter than he or she might  also become victims some other day so do not feel bad, life is a wheel so its only matter of spinning.

Before I end what do we get in becoming parasites on somebody or manipulating someone for our own gains?  this will eventually lead to remorse when all the strength in your body has decreased and you need someone to help you. Live true to your heart take account of how you live, I am not here to ask you to set examples but expect you to maintain a minimum decorum.

Thanks for your time let me know your views in the comment box.

End of Line

Hello readers

Hope you all are doing well.

The truth is, everyone is going to hurt you. You just got to find the ones worth suffering for.
-Bob Marley

We all have a breaking point in almost all things we do every day, the simple reason is that we all are material beings and we tend to bend and bow and again straighten up.
When we try to discuss about the human nature it too has an end of line, well what is it? Let us find out.

How many of us can say that we are totally selfless and are ready to prove it? Well in this generation I think the answer is almost zero, except for some great souls, whom I won’t name as you know that they live around you and always think for your well-being before they sleep.

So everything will come to halt at one point or we can say a stage that is when you are asked about selfishness. Here the everything that I am refereeing is our normal behaviour.

Of course it is difficult to be totally selfless, only great people could reach that stage which is actually  a honourable one.

What is that engulf the selflessness person in you?  The exact opposite yes you are right selfishness! Let’s define a process here with a simple example.

John wants to eat an apple, at the same time jack his brother happens to meet him and asks him if he could share that apple with him, John does not hesitate and gladly offers him a piece at the same time Jill friend of John  happen to pass by and asks for a share.

John is now little bit reluctant to share it with his friend and replies “I am sorry. This apple is spoilt I was about to trash it” Jill leaves in disappointment. What happened here was a classic case of selfishness.

When you take  this example psychologically, we understand that the subject lied about the apple when the person 2(Jill) asked him for the share, now why did this happen?

We humans are the immediate descendants of the apes. Ok... let me say the mutant relatives of the apes. Our ancestors followed the nomadic culture of gathering food and moving from one place to another.

So when there is a question of food, we always keep our share so that we don’t endanger our own lives!

Scientists have gathered many such  examples on the behaviour pattern of humans in these  weird ways,  the most common place we can observe is when you’re a standing in a queue, I am sure you will remember the quarrel when you saw someone barging in by breaking the queue.

So when it comes to your own life the selfishness in you or the simple 3 letter word comes to picture that is “Ego” the strange part is  we are alive today psychologically only because of ego, because finally you live for yourself because it gives you pleasure in doing things the way you want to do it.

Let me make a suggestion here, agreed we must be egoistic to certain extent  as that is basic law how nature has designed us, but keep your ego in the back seat your car of life strap it up safely and drive your car with the co-passengers of selflessness, gratitude, and compassion towards all creatures on this earth.

Let us all fix a goal today to live in a world with more compassion towards  each other, let go the ego at places where it is not required and go freely enjoy the beautiful earth.

Stop taking things personally when they are told to you and reacting like an ape without even thinking why it was told. Your biological age will earn you respect if and only if it has correlation with your psychological maturity.

Thanks a lot for your time, have a great week ahead.
